The discipline of International Business, a second level discipline belonging to Applied Economics, dates back to the discipline of International Trade established in 1987. It obtained the authority to confer Master’s Degree of International Trade and Master’s Degree of Applied Economics respectively in1997 and 2011. There are now 7 doctoral supervisors, 11 professors and 18 associate professors, of whom there is 1 enjoying governmental special allowance and 1 with the tile of Talent of New Century. The School of Business and Economics of Monash University is the largest of its kind in Australia, and its discipline of International Business, which enrolls students from all over the world, is highly appreciated by employers in and out of Australia.
